8 Dimensions of Quality
All Failure modes will fit into one or more of these categories:
Performance – Will this part of the phone perform in all categories against expected industry standards?
Features – Do the features match the customer’s expectations?
Conformance – Does it conform to standards of compatibility?
Durability – Is it too easily damaged?
Serviceability – Is it easily and safely serviced, upgraded or repaired?
Aesthetics – Is the look and feel satisfactory?
Perceived Quality – Do the characteristics of the phone exude a sense of quality for the price paid?
Think also of the proposed solutions to an FMEA. Does it adversely affect any of the above?
