Key Responsibilities
• Assist in the selection and qualification of new suppliers.
• Ensure suppliers understand and are capable of consistently meeting quality requirements.
• Qualify new or revised parts for production readiness.
• Oversee manufacturing quality to ensure quality of parts and assemblies made by company meet or exceed quality standards.
• Liaise with internal depts regarding production issues.
• Work with suppliers and the company to ensure effective and permanent corrective actions.
• Apply, promote and train associates and suppliers on proven quality and company process, such as, data and capability analysis, disciplined problem solving, root cause analysis, quality planning, process control, standard work and the Production Preparation Process .
• Work with the Asian sourcing team to develop key Asian suppliers.
