Essential Responsibilities
1. Provide leadership to drive growth in business cooperation between GE Energy management & China/ROA supplier base.
2. Prevent or resolve quality issues that could impact business growth in the region.
3. Primary Technical/quality Interface with Suppliers and work closely with various division of GE Energy management on the following:
4. Conduct business, technical, and SRG surveys on suppliers, and sub-tiers as necessary, for supplier approvals.
5. Conduct First Piece Qualifications and Pilot Acceptance for NPI Programs, Cost-Out projects, and TOW programs.
6. Conduct Product/Process Surveillance Audits with suppliers
7. Lead supplier improvement of process control, quality assurance systems and procedures thru use of Control Level Evaluations and implementation of Heartbeat Initiative rigor.
8. Manage Corrective Action Resolution, lead and verify the Corrective action/preventive action implementation for non-conforming materials.
9. Be Communication Interface with Business SQE/Eng./M&PE etc.
10. Initial Supplier Screening (QS/WP/EHS)
11. Critical-To-Quality Review with suppliers
12. Establish a structured approach for consistency and adherence to quality procedures and assurance
13. Drive continuous improvement of supplier’s quality, cycle, and delivery performance through Six Sigma / Control Level Evaluations
14. Chair sourcing review to key NPI programs together with sourcing manager.
15. Drive supplier quality initiatives, i.e. quality system, lean, six sigma, process control improments initiatives.
16. Monitor supplier quality metrics and report monthly to global team
17. Coordinate and communicate quality issues, actions and/or events with APO quality, marketing, PSO and program management.
Qualifications/Requirements
1. BS/MS Mechanical Engineering. Hands-on experience in manufacturing (shop floor) exposure. Quality, or Supplier quality management experience is required
2. Excellent English communication skills in both oral and written are required
3. At least 3 years hands-on experience in manufacturing process, quality control etc.
4. Expertise in mechanical components, mechanism, stamping, tooling, machining, heat-treat is strongly preferable
5. Strong leadership and communication skill, experience in leadership role is preferable
6. Excellent interpersonal skills
