4.1 Create one long scratch in the painted plastic surface prior to test for each sample such that creepage can be observed.
4.2. After the 200 hour salt spray test and 72 hour recovery, there must be no more than 1/8" creepage from the scribed line.
4.3 After the 200 hour salt spray test and 72 hour recovery, use the same tape as used in the adhesion testing and firmly apply a piece over the scribed line. Remove the tape with a sharp jerk and evaluate how much paint is removed or delaminated. Removal of more than 1/8" from the scribed line results in a failure.
