Job Description
Eaton Corporation, Vehicle Group, located in Shanghai China now has a job opening for Continuous Improvement Manager - Vehicle Group APAC.

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Coordinates and facilitates the deployment of strategic Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) & continuous improvement activities. Responsible for understanding functional competency status regarding Lean and Six Sigma and training to support the gaps. Actively mentors CI regional resources and leads the Vehicle Group Lean Certification training. Works with regional leaders, Plant Managers, CI Managers, & other functional and plant personnel to drive the transition of a lean tool based approach to one of lean culture by championing the Continuous Improvement Framework deployment. Supports Operational Assessment as an assessor and ensures that facilities are fully engaged in the annual self-assessment requirements of OpA. Lead for deployment of Corporate, Sector and Group policies related to Continuous Improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Health and Safety – Actively engaged in supporting a zero incident culture via the integration of Continuous Improvement and safety.
•Continuous Improvement - Facilitate achievement of operational goals by aligning continuous improvement with operational excellence.
•People – Develop Lean, Six Sigma, TPC capabilities via formal training as well as on-site and hand on support in Continuous Improvement. Become a mentor and coach in continuous improvement & CI tools and processes.
•Quality – Facilitate the integration between continuous improvement and quality performance.
•Plant Performance - Collaborate with plants in developing and executing Continuous Improvement road maps that are customized to plant needs and expectations. Provide a focus approach in CI in challenging plants.
A.Follows all environmental health and safety procedures and practices to assure a safe work environment. Identifies and corrects unsafe conditions or practices to assure a safe work environment for all employees.

B.Responsible for Vehicle Group Lean Certification training. Mentors others in CI (Lean and Six Sigma) deployment includeing both facilities and functions.

C.Responsible for the regional annual Continuous Improvement Symposium and its output as an input into the Corporate CI Award process.

D.Provides on-site support to identify and implement cost savings activities in manufacturing facilities.
E.Champions OpA assessment and is responsible for the facilities input of Self-Assessments to the annual Leadership Review.

F.Engagement with EBS Pull activities & deployment in the region. Supports and coordinates needle moving activities in the region.

G.Leads the Regional CI (ELSS) Council and promotes best practice sharing across functions and facilities.

H.Provides assistance to activities such as EBE, Safety Jump Start and others.
I.Keep records of ELSS deployment by plant via using tools such as eroom, ELSS tracker, MET, etc.

Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements)
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:
•Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or related field is required.
•5 years of leadership experience and lean manufacturing project/engineering experience
•Demonstrated ability to manage time and schedule projects
•Strong interpersonal, communication and leadership skills are required.
•Demonstrated working knowledge in Statistical Process Control (SPC), Design of Experiments (DOE), Lean Manufacturing, Process FMEAs, and TS 16949 requirements is preferred.
•Requires good organizational skills.
•Must be self-motivated and require little supervision for the successful completion of projects.
•Must have excellent facilitation skills, project management skills, and drive for results.
•Formal Lean and/or Six Sigma training/certifications
•Must be willing to travel in the region and provide on-site and hands on support
•Frequent communication with all levels and support of cross-functional teams.
