Chapter 2 Present and Past, Simple and Progressive

本帖最后由 洛客 于 2013-3-5 09:06 编辑

Before we move on to Chapter 2, let’s ask ourselves: have I carefully gone through the examples, done the exercise problems and tried to memorize as many as possible those verbs shown in Pages 10 and 11 of the text? If not, what shall I do to catch up and help myself improve?

In the past week I have noticed that only a few have posted their inputs, exercises related and what not. Though it is OK to do homework exercises without posting them to the forum, it could help us improve and sharpen our skills faster and more effectively, if our work is open to comments and critiques by all others. Posting diaries could be a good start. One suggestion is to employ and embed as many related topics that are being presented/discussed in the text as we can.

Chapter 2 is a long chapter and covers many interesting subjects like stative verbs, to be verbs, and the proper use of a long list of regular and irregular verbs. Please do as many exercise problems as possible. Their answers are attached in the back of the text. And, please feel free to post any questions when encountering.

Assume everyone has by now downloaded a free copy of Betty Azar's Understanding and Using English Grammar, 3rd Ed. in addition to the Chartbook.

I have seen several times that there were homework/exercises in the text, but where’s the text book (need download from where )? Or we just need do it ourselves, just write something sentences as we can. It’s really a trouble to me.
