100% inspecting process,
when cpk is acceptable(according to your customer)
,how to come out from you 100% inspecting process?
Is there a certain amount of parts? like 50 or 100???
I just want to let you speak out your analysis about QC sys
A lot depends on how the Cpk level was calculated, and what the Cpk level is. If you are 100% inspecting the parts at the end of a process, are you (or can you) do a variables control chart on the process? If 100% inspection is your only current quality system, you will have to put something in place of it to assure the customer that if the process changes, you can discover it and take corrective action if necessary without the customer receiving any (or not very many) bad units. If you have a Cpk = 1.00, the monitor needs to be more sensitive. If Cpk = 2.00, then the monitor can be somewhat less sensitive. Does your customer have procedure that is to be used when you are not 100% inspecting? It might be worth checking out.
