SPC meaning

So far,I do not think SPC is strong preventive tool,at least,in China.it is just a popular tool in China.

I do not know why it is a strong tool abroad?

From the quality coursebook, I knew that SPC development has been changing.and now have SPD and SPA idea.but in practice, we know SPC more than SPD and SPA.
SPD(Statistical Process Diagnosis) SPA(Statistical Process Adjustment)
SPC-->SPD-->SPA is three phase of quality development.
