Pareto: group complaints/defects by category, sort descending to find the vital few that reach 80% cumulatively. Run chart: plot a metric in time order to look for trend or drift (no control limits).

How to use
· Pareto (the 80/20 rule visualized): bars sorted high to low, the line is cumulative %. The green bars left of the 80% dashed line are the "vital few" to fix first — quality resources always go there first. If the top category exceeds 60%, break it down one more layer (by location/shift/machine) and Pareto again
· Run chart: no control limits, center line is the median. Rule of thumb: 7 in a row on one side ≈ trend/drift; cyclic swing = a regular change (e.g. shift effect). For precise alarms use the SPC control chart (I-MR / Xbar-R)
· Charts can be exported as PNG / SVG to paste directly into reports
